Education Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has expressed his utmost gratitude to SIC Life for the many contributions towards the welfare of the Ghanaian teacher. Addressing the press and sponsors of the 2019 Ghana Teacher Prize Awards Monday 16th December, 2019, Dr. Opoku Prempeh lauded SIC Life for sponsoring the Ghana Teacher Prize Awards for 8years running. He further elaborated the enormous benefits teachers stand to receive as claims in the GES-SIC Life Group Policy.

‘We do thank SIC Life for all the support you give to Ghanaian teachers; most especially with the GES-SIC Life Group Policy. For those who have contributed just once but have to claim will attest that SIC Life is eventually spending much to redeem…,’ Mr Opoku Prempeh stated.

He further added that ‘we do thank SIC Life for the cognizance they’re giving to Ghanaian teachers.’ Since 2011, SIC Life has been sponsoring the then Best Teacher Prize Awards now rebranded Ghana Teacher Prize Awards. The Company has also sponsored in various ways Ghana’s nominee for the World Teacher Prize. As part of the sponsorship package for the 2019 winners, SIC Life has presented a cheque for 180, 000 Cedis to the ultimate winner Ms. Sabina Koba Dosu to build a three-bedroom house. Also, a sum of a Life Assurance cover worth One Million Ghana Cedis spanning a year has been awarded all three winners.
