SIC LIFE RENEWS ITS COMMITMENT TO SPONSOR THE 2021 GHANA TEACHER PRIZE AWARDS

SIC Life, a proud platinum sponsor of the Ghana Teacher Prize for over a decade has once again demonstrated its utmost dedication and support to the Ghanaian teacher by pledging financial support, life insurance package amongst other things to the top three winners of the 2021 Ghana Teacher Prize Awards.

The Ghana Teacher Prize is an initiative by the Ministry of Education through the National Teaching Council to recognize the contributions of hardworking and selfless teachers and educational workers towards teacher motivation and improvement of education in the country as a whole. The occasion underlines the importance of the teacher in the development of the country hence, organization of the awards to reward teachers and educational workers who have made outstanding contributions to the profession. The awards ceremony as well seeks to honor well-deserving teachers for their exemplary performance and ground-breaking works that have affected and transformed the lives of students under their care, the schools and the community around them.

“SIC Life has since the year 2010 been a major sponsor of the Ghana Teacher Prize formerly dubbed the National Best Teacher Award and has offered numerous sponsorship packages over a decade”.

The above assertion was made by the Deputy Managing Director of SIC Life, Mr. Kwaku Appiah-Menka during the launch of this year’s award ceremony held in Accra on Wednesday 18th August 2021.

On behalf of the Company, the Deputy Managing Director pledged a sponsorship package which comprises a One million Ghana Cedis (GH¢ 1,000,000.00) life insurance cover for the top three (3) winners, an amount of One hundred thousand Ghana Cedis (GH₵ 100,000.00) and branded souvenirs.

Other representatives from SIC Life present at the ceremony were Mr. Albert Bahun- Wilson (Head, Corporate Services), Madam Mariama Dauda (Sales Executive) and Miss Honesty Tekpor from the Corporate Services Department.

The theme for this year’s ceremony is ‘Teachers Wanted: Reclaiming Teaching And Learning for a Human-Centered Recovery.’

The 3-day event which will be hosted in Sunyani will start on 3rd October 2021 and climax with the awards ceremony for deserving teachers on Tuesday 5th October 2021.
