GES-SIC Life Policy claims helped offset outstanding funeral bills’ – Beneficiary

Aunt to the late Benjamine Peprah; a former Administrator at the Techimantia Secondary School in the Tano District of the Brong Ahafo Region; Margaret Tabi-Asiamah has exclusively revealed to SIC Life that claims paid to the family 3rd September 2019 helped them offset outstanding funeral bills. Speaking with SIC Life in its routine check-ups to beneficiaries of the GES-SIC Life Group policy, the appreciative Madam Tabi-Asiamah thanked SIC Life for sticking to their promise.

‘When we got the money, we were able to offset some outstanding funeral bills. The rest was paid into an account in the name of my nephew’s mum who is resident in Holland,’ she noted.

The late Benjamine Peprah passed on in March 2019.

The GES-SIC Life Group policy was officially launched in June 2019. The policy is a collaboration between GES and the SIC Life and officially commenced in July 2019. Benefits of the programme include GH¢18,000 life cover for death and permanent disability cover. Members will also get a cashback of 10% after 3 years of no claims. GH¢9,000 will be paid out to a member upon diagnosis of any of the named critical illness. Critical illness includes cancers, heart attack, kidney failure, loss of sight, stroke, paralysis, deafness. Through the policy, GH¢10 will be deducted monthly as claimant’s monthly member contribution. SIC Life has collaborated with the GES on several occasions as part of its corporate social responsibility projects but hopes to use the new life policy to extend its contribution.
